Wellness and sauna safety

Heatspace provides timers, educational guidance, journaling, and informational wellness summaries. Heatspace is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a guarantee of safety or health outcomes.

Sauna and heat exposure can involve serious risks. Do not use Heatspace to decide whether it is medically safe for you to use a sauna. Consult a qualified healthcare professional if you are pregnant, have cardiovascular or other medical conditions, take medication, have consumed alcohol or drugs, or have any concern about heat exposure. Follow facility rules, hydrate appropriately, never compete with a timer, and leave the heat immediately if you feel dizzy, faint, confused, nauseated, unusually short of breath, or otherwise unwell. In an emergency, contact local emergency services.

Heart rate, temperature entries, perceived strain, and Heat Load are incomplete wellness context, not medical measurements or safety limits. Missing sensor data may make summaries partial. You remain responsible for your decisions and physical safety.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be legally able to enter into these terms. You may use core local features without an account. Optional cloud sync uses Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for protecting access to your Apple Account and device and for activity performed through your account.

You may delete a signed-in Heatspace account from Account → Delete account. Account deletion does not cancel an Apple subscription.

Heatspace Pro purchases

Heatspace may offer a monthly auto-renewable subscription, a yearly auto-renewable subscription, and a one-time lifetime non-consumable purchase.

The App Store displays the price and currency that apply to you before purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation. Auto-renewable subscriptions renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in Apple Account settings. Lifetime access is tied to the purchasing Apple Account and remains subject to these terms and the continued availability of the app and App Store services.

Purchases, billing, refunds, and cancellation are processed under Apple's terms and policies. Use Restore Purchases in Heatspace to recover eligible access. Except where required by law or Apple policy, Heatspace does not separately issue refunds for App Store purchases.

Acceptable use

You may not:

• Use Heatspace unlawfully or to harm, threaten, harass, or impersonate another person.
• Interfere with the app, servers, security controls, purchase verification, or account systems.
• Reverse engineer or redistribute Heatspace except where applicable law expressly permits it.
• Submit false, unlawful, infringing, promotional, or abusive sauna listings or reports.
• Scrape, automate, or overload Heatspace services without written permission.

Sauna finder and user submissions

Sauna listings are informational and may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. Heatspace does not operate, inspect, endorse, or guarantee listed facilities. Confirm hours, pricing, accessibility, rules, amenities, and safety directly with the facility.

If you submit a location proposal or report, you grant Heatspace a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, review, reproduce, edit, and use the submission to operate and improve the sauna finder. You represent that you have the right to provide it. Proposals are not public unless approved through moderation. We may retain de-identified submission records for moderation integrity and abuse prevention.

Intellectual property

Heatspace, its visual design, text, protocols, software, and other content are owned by Heatspace or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for its intended purpose.

Third-party services

Heatspace relies on Apple, Supabase, RevenueCat, and other platform services. Their separate terms may apply. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control.

Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, protocols, listings, or services. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may update these terms, with notice where required. Continued use after an effective update constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Heatspace is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Heatspace and its owners, employees, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of data, loss of profits, or injury arising from misuse of the app. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits non-waivable consumer rights.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in Québec, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except to the extent mandatory consumer law in your jurisdiction applies. Courts with jurisdiction in Québec will have jurisdiction, subject to any non-waivable right to bring a claim elsewhere.
